Terrorists detonate a "dirty bomb" which causes a strange fallout that causes the dead to rise. The sightings of zombies becomes as common as seeing a stop sign on every street corner, and their numbers are growing. Groundskeepers at cemeteries scramble to contain the bodies that are climbing out of the ground. It seems the zombies are rising from the older graves that are not encased in concrete. Nor are the zombies able to remove themselves from a vault. No matter how hard you fight off the dead, they just keep coming, and all you know is, eventually, even if you do not get bitten, you will become one of them. Would you continue fighting, or just say screw it, this fight is too much, and what's the point, someone will wind up killing me again later. Ultimately, the living population of earth will start to decline, even with new births. Soon enough the living human will go by the wayside as the zombie population takes its place. After the last human is consumed but the ghoulish masses, the zombie mutates and targets other things to eat, staking a new claim at the top of the food chain.

No matter how dire the circumstances, we should never stop fighting. When the fighting isn't for survival or preservation but simply the destruction of evil is when we can fight tooth and nail to the bitter end, despite our ensured doom. I'm not saying to be reckless or foolish in picking our battles, by any means, however. I'm just saying to be eternally defiant.
I will grab fate by the throat; it shall certainly not crush me completely.
-Beethoven
Zombies got another thing coming if they think they can get us to just give up. I'll mechanize zombie killing if it comes right down to it. I'll be long dead, but my spider web will outlast me by years.
