I think it goes without saying that when traveling on foot one wishes to travel as lightly as possible so having one tool to hack, one tool to saw, one tool to do this, one tool to do that etc is horrible and weighs you down; so to the best of my abilities I will try to come up with possibilities for your confirmation or rejection. I also welcome any and all suggestions by other people, this is as much of a learning experience for me as it is for you.
Remember this is basically possible uses for things that the average person wouldn't normally think of them as, for example from below "shovel=cooking plate"
Tools such as the German Folding Shovel Can be used as a shovel of course, but also as a makeshift axe, a cooking plate, a pick axe, the pointy end of a warhammer, a bipod and that's really all I have.
A 12 inch knife with a serrated edge is of course a weapon, and a saw, but it could be the tip of a spear, a pick, possibly a signalling mirror if the blade itself is shiny and reflective.
A machete is, well a machete and I still haven't taken the time to read through that machete thread therefore I can't think of a great many uses for it other than the traditional hacking through shrubs, possibly people.
A tomahawk is a hammer, an axe for which to hack through doors, barricades, trees, a throwing weapon, a land cultivator to sew seeds.
A toothbrush can be used as a crude knife, a gun cleaning tool,
Needless to say I'm not that knowledgeable of potential uses so I ask the collective of their ideas and will hopefully update this thread as ideas are submitted so that readers only need to read the first post to really understand.
