So I recently came past an interesting device called a "GoGirl". A GoGirl as this site puts it is

After a bit of thought I decided to purchase this nifty device for myself, as something to add to my BOB.
At first you may find the thought disgusting or funny, it is however very clever.
Being a girl I understand the hassle when nature comes calling and there is no toilet around, it is very uncomfortable waiting around to find one, or undoing your garments and finding a nice hiding spot behind a bush were no one can see you can be tricky.

This is simple and comfortable. The "GoGirl" is made out of flexible medical grade silicon and you can dispose it or clean it with soap and water and re use it as many times as you like.

Ok, so here is my experience so far with the Go Girl:

• It does feel strange holding something foreign that is just simply not meant to be there, might make you feel a bit like a man but other than that it is pretty amusing.
• Aiming is not hard (well not for me ^_^), it does however require a bit of practice to make sure that it "seals" around you properly.
• I found it very easy to hold and although it is flexible it did not bend when I held it and once washed it dried off very quickly.
• Using it without unbuttoning your jeans can prove tricky, this requires a bit of practice so that in the end you can basically pee like a man :P
• "Letting go" whilst standing can be a little challenging, we have tough ourselves to do it a certain way so standing is foreign. Just keep repeating to yourself that it is safe to "go".

The packaging is no bigger than your palm, small enough to fit into your every day bag. It comes with a tissue and a baggie to put it in once you are done, you can simply fold it back up and insert it back into the tube.

The "GoGirl" is a new product to Australia and currently it is only sold on Go Girl Australia soon to be distributed to outdoor retailers. I found that Oz sells this product for almost triple the price than what it is sold in the US, at $13.50 AUD each as opposed to the $4.50 US from Amazon.com. They don't however post outside the U.S. so....unlucky me.

Who needs it?
If you are an outdoors girl, a mum, a traveler, a party girl or in short an active girl, or just dislike those nasty public toilets then this device is a must have.
The concept may seem a little disturbing, but come on girls, you know this is something you want to add to your bag, it is not taboo it is just simply convenient.

The "Go Girl" comes in 2 colors, pink and camo.

Hundreds if not thousands of women around the world have found heaven in this simple device, so my advise to you? Add one to your BOB, it will make life a lot easier in case of an emergency evac or whatever disaster may occur, where you may find yourself stuck in a crowd or deserted with limited toiled facilities. I got myself three, one for my BOB, one for my GHB, and one for my everyday bag. And besides my sister's taunting, I know I can not go wrong with a GoGirl.
