Hey folks. So as some of you may have read, I sold my Mosin Scout, and my Mossberg 500. I did this for two reasons. One was to buy my WASR-10/63 and all the custom stuff that I wanted to do to it. The other reason is that I was building a self contained computer suite or SCCS, as I’ve taken to calling it. Essentially, it’s a combination mini-laptop, GPS, External hard drive, and solar cells. I’ll get into the list in a minute.
So far, I’ve got over 500 eBooks ranging from various Science, Agriculture, Medicine, and Surval to a wide variety of How-to’s, etc, etc. With this vast store of knowledge, not only will I be thoroughly entertained, but I have valuable resources in knowledge that I can access anytime that I like. I added a collapsible solar charger to this setup as well, and housed it all in a near perfect pelican case so that its crush-resistant, waterproof, and fully locking, with backup locks. With this suite, I can charge all my USB chargeable electronics, including my phone, GPS, two-way radios, mouse, Mp3 player, etc, etc. I keep city maps, GPS sync info, real time tracking, and full satellite topography maps on it as well. Currently, I can also connect wirelessly to the internet through my phone and/or through WiFi almost anywhere that I have a signal. It’s also nice having an active cell signal booster built into my truck.
All in all, it’s a complete (as I need it to be) computer suite. All of this is housed in a near indestructible and waterproof Pelican 1470 case. So, without further ado, here are the contents of my SCCS.
