So, as I was picking up my uniforms for work from our local uniform supply shop, I noticed this little device hanging up over the counter. One of my fellow officers and I decided to do a little hand to hand training today. We went down to our physical therapy gym and took our places on the mat. He had sharpie marker, and I used the ASP OC Kobaton. He went for the attack. After my initial block, I jabbed the Kobaton into his ribs, locked his attacking arm. From that placement, I triggered the test cartridge fully into his face. Understand that the test cartridge is only pressurized water, so its not going to hurt, but it sure scares the hell out of ya! He recoiled off balance, which allowed me to put him on his ass and disarm him. Handcuffing him was a cinch after that.
