Well here is my little review for the accusharp knife and tool sharpener.

Accusharp - For this utensil I put my new khukuri on the line, for anyone who hasn't seen the topic "epic khukuri" it is 23" long, custom made for me and designed to take the heads of cattle in relligious ceremonies.
(It is also important to note that this khukuri was made from railway girder and thus much harder steel than an ordinary knife and as such a whetstone wouldn't do jack.)
Prior to starting it had a fully rounded edge (straight from the forge) and at the widest the rounded edge had a radius of 4 millimetres and at the thinest a radius of 1 and a half.
After 35 minutes and 54 seconds of sharpening the knife has a razor edge.

Sharpening the knife was a bit tough at first due to the hard steel and wide blade but after about 20 minutes the accusharp had little to no resistance which, as the instructions said, meant that the blade had conformed to the proper shape of the accusharp's "V" after that it was just a matter of repetive strokes (be it for 16 minutes nearly as opposed to 3 or 4 strokes advertised on the box, which I must admit were for stainless steel blades).

Overall the accusharp is inexpensive, effective, safe and altogether the sharpener to use if you consider a knife one of your own children or you are inexperienced at sharpening knives.

Another note, should you have a sword with high carbon rated steel 1040+, I'd highly recommend this, it made short work of my khukuri, which in all respects had an extremely round edge and by my normal means (metal file, honing oil, whetstone and sandpaper) could have destroyed the knife, my fingers and would of taken in excess of an hour or more.
