No weapon is more readily available than a stick, staff, baton or bludgeon. The stick is easily found or made out of a variety of materials from wood or plastic to solid metal. So little attention is payed to the most easily improvised weapons humanity has access to. Skills with sticks of different sizes carry over into other weapon systems, but the inverse is not always true. We hope this article, book or tutorial or what ever it might be called is helpful.
This "Book" will be a collection of techniques ranging from beginners who have never thought about using a baton, to something useful for the seasoned martial artist. They will be broken into chapters for if and when I get around to writing it. Chicago Land Adventure and Survival will be collaborating on this effort to create our own media including pictures and short videos covering pretty much the same content.

I took my girlfriend and New guy through the entire baton set up to Advanced level. We even had fun with "but what if it were a zombie, and what if it were 2 zombies". If their jaw is shattered they can't bite. If their hands are shattered they can't grab and hold on. So ya in 3 hours they learned everything and had a blast. Its definitely the new required skills for our CLAS group.
I think we still dont have an article for sticks, I can only find the "Everything you probably need to know about..." series. Maybe once this is finished it can be compiled and posted there?

I'll probably start writing again in the summer. Right now I just can't get motivated. Videos still are not done at all lol. pictures not done. the everything series needs overhauled. the axe one needs finished, but thats why I made it a book. so i can work at leisure.
