Zombie Preparedness Initiative’s Survival Recipes Contest Details
The ZPI Cookbook has been gaining popularity to the point where I now have over 50 recipes listed in the ZPI COOKBOOK post. In honor of this I have decided to hold a contest to gather Survival foods recipes. Winner will receive the first copy of the Hard Cover ZPI Cookbook with their recipe added as a Featured Recipe.
So, now we get to the particulars.
Post your recipe as a reply in this post including detailed instructions on cooking the survival food and a picture of a single serving of the recipe. I will then check out your recipe and cook a sampling portion of it. All recipes will be graded on 4 different criteria:
Taste:50 pts
Clarity of instructions: 30 pts
Presentation:10 pts
Creativity:10 pts
Contest will run for 1 month from February 05th to March 5th, 2012. All decisions are final. All decisions are at the sole discretion of the staff of ZPI… we will announce the winner on march 20th.
Rules
- Recipe must be a new recipe not previously posted on this site.
- Must include a picture of a single serving of the recipe.
- Must be survival Related. (Your 6 months in the apocalypse all frozen and refrigerated good are long gone. You have accessibility to eggs whether from chicken, ducks, and geese. And local game and vegitables/fruits.)
- Have fun!
- NO POSTS BEFORE 12am Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5) February 5th, 2012.
- Maximum 3 entries per participant.
- The date above is specified to give every one time to think about, cook, recook, taste, and think some more, and read these rules.

What Zombies Fear on Kindle
Can we claim to have access to *live* dairy for this? (Not killed for meat) That would give you curds, heavy and light cream, sour cream, cream cheese, ricotta, yogurt, butter and 1-4% milk within say, a 24 hr period. Just fast ingredients, no long aged white cheddar or something. ok?
Anyone have a problem with that?

Some of the whole milks will be fine as well as some of the easier to create dairy products, although things that need to be put through a heavy chemical and culture process should be avoided.
