Whatching Spike TV the other night I saw the previews for a new show called "Surviving Disaster" appearently the show takes you through scenario's like nucular attack, terrioriorist attack, and natural disasters and tries to give you good tips to survive. As with most of spike TV's shows on survival and fighting it will probibly be good to be taken with a grain of salt. I am hoping to tune in September 1st when it comes out.

In “Surviving Disaster,” Spike TV presents a series, unlike any other on television, that may actually save a life. What’s the best way to survive an earthquake, shark attack, plane crash, bioterrorism, hostage crisis or deadly tsunami? For the sake of viewers and their families, it’s imperative to know how to survive disaster, both natural and man-made, and former Navy SEAL Cade Courtley (Mark Burnett’s “Combat Missions”) is just the guy to lead viewers to safety in this elaborate step-by-step weekly series. With some of the most elaborate disaster simulations ever created for television, “Surviving Disaster” is a look at how people can arm themselves with knowledge that could save their lives in the event of disaster.
Ten one-hour episodes of “Surviving Disaster” will be produced by Wall to Wall Media (”Man On a Wire,” “Frontier House,” “Spymaster,” “Ancient Egyptians”) with Alex Graham and Jonathan Hewes serving as executive producers.

Hello All! :)
I think this will be a great show and very informative. I also wanted to put it out there that my father, Mike Teters, was interviewed for Surviving Disaster by Spike and was going to be on the episode concerning FIRE (just was contacted by Spike TV informing me that his interview did not make the actually show, very bummed). He was in a propane explosion back in 2006, and amazingly he survived it! If you have time to check out his actual story you can read it and news articles at http://www.miketeters.com. Thank you! My father’s site is in no way affiliated with Spike
I want to catch a couple of episodes to see how he handles stuff. I am overly skeptical of these kinds of shows though so I'm adopting a wait and see attitude on this one. I want to see his airplane hijacking one though, I want to see if he uses any of the Krav Maga anti-terrorist techniques, cause they are pretty brutal.
It's all right, it's just a small pebble in your path, just a tiny pebble, The place you want to be is farther than this right? That's why it's ok. You can get up and continue on your journey.
The show, as much as I have seen of it, is actually a pretty big joke. Not really the best when coming to the plane of understanding disasters and really having a sense of preparation.
Until the zombies come the damage that I try to control is caused by water and fire damage in the San Diego area. http://belfor.com/en/USA/California/San-Diego.aspx
